FAQ

The NY Large chamber tends to sound more tenor-ish and has a bit more resistance compared to the medium chamber. It is a very particular mouthpiece and isn't for everyone, however those who are into it really love it.

The difference between MT and the regular Florida is the baffle profile. The MT has an extra rollover baffle that provides a brighter sound than our usual Florida and the curve is different in a way that works better with harder reeds and emphasizes flexibility in the high end of the horn while providing more evenness throughout the horn.

Given the handcrafted nature of our mouthpieces it will likely take around 4-6 weeks to complete your order and ship it to you. We make sure that each mouthpiece leaves our facility playing the best that it possibly can through extensive hand finishing and play testing which as a result takes a lot of time.

The London Precision can be thought of as a hybrid between berg and link style pieces where it has the high baffle and bullet chamber but then has a larger chamber compared to the New London which has the same high baffle and bullet chamber design but with a smaller chamber. The New Londons are also a lot thicker and heavier than the London Precisions which adds vibration to the whole horn.

To put it simply, the New Londons are super powerful and focused and the London Precisions are powerful but have a little more spread to the sound and tonal flexibility.

It's difficult to say as there are many factors that go into intonation; type of horn, temperature, reeds, and most importantly the player, so it is hard to say if one piece is better than another for intonation. Each model we make requires slightly different ways to blow into them in order to realize all of the qualities of each piece and are hand finished to perfection to allow for maximum ease of playability. Even though we can't guarantee perfect intonation due to the aforementioned factors, we do our best to make our mouthpieces play as easily as possible.
